Kaboom

So Magic the Gathering was in full effect this weekend. Here are some of the juicy details.

Saturdays Commander:
We had Sharuum, Sliver Overlord, Scion, Kemba, Bosh, Arcum Dagsson, Sharuum, and Rubina. Pod 1 Winner: Jason Hammack with Kemba and 2nd place was Matt Wetherholt with Rubina. Pod 2 Winner: Josh Wienckowski with Arcum Dagsson and 2nd place was John Meyer with Sharuum. Overall winner for the afternoon was Jason Hammack.

Sunday Type II:
We had a good turnout for Sunday. (must be football haters) Top 4 decided to split so there was no clear cut winner for the day. The top 4 decks were Bant Agro played by Kevin Martin, Hunter Reckenberger used Blue/White Delver, Stefan Eversoll played Black/Blue Control, and Jack Fisher ran a Blue/White Illusions.

Kaboom will be holding Tuesday night Type II Magic the Gathering tournaments starting this week.
So if your jonesing for some extra Magic time we are here to help.

Start Time: 6:30pm
Cost: $5 per person
Prize: 1 pack per person plus additional packs put into pool.

Dark Ascension Pre-Release: Saturday, January 28th Seal Deck format start time is 12 NOON!!!!  We will also host a second Sealed Deck tournament at 6 PM!!!!  Entry fee is $25.00 for each event.

STAR CITY IQ: We have scheduled our next Star City IQ for Sunday March 18th. (Start making your plans to attend!!)

Our Open Play (read Commander) had a large crowd last night. The 15 generals that attempted to show their aptitude for battle were: Zedru, Dralnu, Kaalia, Korlash, Scion, Rubinia, Kemba, Sliver Overlord, Wort, Omnath, Intet, Elesh, Ezuri, LaSalle, and Drana.
